 ⇾ Basil is considered a very sacred plant in Hinduism.  Believers in Hinduism worship the basil plant.  Basil plant is considered to be very beneficial not only for spiritual reasons but also from the point of view of Ayurveda.  You can understand that the medicine of the basil plant is nectar.  Basil has been used in medicine from ancient times to modern times.  If basil leaves are consumed, colds, coughs, skin related diseases or headaches are eliminated.  When the child has a cough or cold, the mother gives a decoction of the leaves of the basil plant.


 ⇾ Tulsi plants have been described in Ayurveda as a treasure trove of virtues.  The amount of some elements in the basil leaves is so high that if consumed in large quantities, it harms our body instead of benefiting it.  There are no side effects in Ayurveda, but there are benefits if you take a certain amount of herbs, but taking too much can also harm the body.  So today we know which people should not consume basil leaves and what are its disadvantages?

⇾  Patients with diabetes should not eat basil leaves: - Basil leaves are harmful for diabetics.  If you are a diabetic and are taking medicines, do not consume Tulsi.  Because it is likely to lower blood sugar.


⇾  Pregnant women should not consume Tulsi leaves: - If a woman is pregnant, she should be careful not to use Tulsi leaves at all, as Tulsi leaves contain eugenol, which is why if Tulsi is consumed during pregnancy,  The uterus shrinks and menstruation begins and the risk of miscarriage also increases.

 ⇾ Patients with thyroid do not consume basil: - If you are a thyroid patient, do not consume basil by mistake as it lowers thyroxine levels.


⇾  Tulsi can thin the blood: - People who are taking blood thinners should avoid taking Tulsi as consuming Tulsi leaves with medicines increases the ability to thin the blood.

 ⇾ Do not consume Tulsi to the person undergoing surgery: - People who have undergone surgery should not use Tulsi leaves at all as consuming Tulsi leaves reduces blood clotting, which causes more blood flow during or after surgery, resulting in increased risk.
